Ian and Margo - 1883 Locale

Ian and Margo got married in early June at 1883 Locale in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. It was such an amazing day and I’m still so happy with how the photos turned out! We started the day off at Margo’s childhood home for getting ready photos and detail shots. Then Ian and his groomsmen met us at the house for a first look. Margo and Ian wanted their first look to be completely private; so there were no photos of it. I loved that so much because they could completely focus on each other instead of having a camera clicking in their ear or being distracted by friends and family.

After their first look, we photographed bridesmaid and groomsmen photos and then Ian and Margo’s portraits. We used the back area of a neighbors yard and it was the perfect backdrop for the photos. The lighting was amazing and I love the way the black dresses pop off all the green. Margo’s train and veil was also stunning!

After portraits were over, we headed to 1883 Locale for the ceremony and reception. During the ceremony, Margo and Ian had a surprise for their guests; they actually got married in a catholic church the month before with close family and friends! After the ceremony, we photographed family formals and a couple more shots of Ian and Margo and then it was party time! The great thing about having a first look and getting all portraits done beforehand is that the couple gets to enjoy their cocktail hour and guests!

After cocktail hour was dinner and then their first dance and parent dances. Ian and Margo had a special dance which I loved so much! Ian also had a special dance with his mom; it was great! The way the light filters in through the windows made the pictures even better during their dances.

Margo’s maid of honor and sister rapped during her toast which was one of the most creative toasts I’ve ever heard! And both Margo and Ian’s dad’s gave awesome speeches. After the traditional reception items, it was dancing time! It seemed like their guests really enjoyed dancing and it was such a fun night! I’m so grateful I was able to capture so many special memories.
