Designing your Wedding Album

There is no better way to show off your beautiful photographs than with your own custom wedding album. Choosing the photos for your album can be overwhelming, so I wrote this checklist to help you create a beautiful album that you’ll show off to all your friends and family.

1. Pick your absolute favorites

Don’t get stuck on the photos that you think should be your favorites, pick the ones that ARE your favorites. There a lot of must have photographs from a wedding day, but sometimes the most loved photos are the candid moments.

2. Think timeline

Ceremony photos generally come before reception photos but that isn’t always the case. If you absolutely love a photo from later in the day, then by all means start the album with that photo.

3. Lay out one spread at a time

I design each couple’s wedding album with them to ensure that it’s exactly what they want before I order it. We always design one spread at a time so the content and images make sense side by side as well as overall.

4. Try to include the big moments from the ceremony

Don’t forget about the first kiss or exchange of rings. Those photos may not be the prettiest, but they are the most important!

5. Display your album

Leave your album on your coffee table or somewhere it can easily be viewed but also protected. The album I use is incredibly durable, but still try to keep it away from toddler fingers or pets!

If you’re still stressing over picking the right photos, don’t worry! The reason I design the wedding album with each couple is so that I can help decide what looks good together and maybe narrow down the selection. Designing your wedding album is all about reliving special moments from your big day. We’ll work as a team to create your dream wedding album!
