Abby’s mom, Kim, reached out to me weeks ago to do a senior session. I almost turned it down and I’m so glad I didn’t! I typically don’t photograph seniors, but after spending time with Abby and her mom, I think it’s something I’d like to do more. Abby booked a mini session and a full session with me. The mini session was in Downtown Lancaster and the full session was at Slate Run Metro Park.
Lancaster is my hometown, so I’m super familiar with the downtown area. We used sandstone stairs, the gazebo, and a brick alleyway for her pictures! I love how this session turned out. My favorite pictures are the ones on the steps. Abby’s hair and jumper just really pops!
We unfortunately had to reschedule our one hour session due to the rain, but we were finally able to get together last Saturday! Slate Run has so many options for photos including a covered bridge, a dock by the water, a beautiful field, and a broken tree! Abby is such a pro in front of the camera and has a killer serious face.
I really love all the pictures from both sessions, but from Slate Run, my favorites are the ones in the wildfield and corn. Abby also has a great sense of style, so I enjoyed all her outfit changes! I enjoyed these sessions so much that I think I will try to book more seniors next year if my schedule allows it.
