August is my busiest month this year with photographing 6 weddings and 2 sessions. It started off with a bang celebrating Emily and Deric’s big day at The Old Blue Rooster! I had never photographed there before, but I loved it. The ceremony space is so beautiful and there’s so many pretty spots for pictures.
My first time meeting Emily and Deric was on their wedding day! They are such a nice couple and so laid back. It was looking like rain all day and we even had a plan B set up just in case, but thankfully the rain held off! We only felt a couple drops after the ceremony and that was it!
The ceremony was outside and so beautiful! It was cloudy and a little windy; my favorite weather when shooting weddings. Deric’s grandma surprised them during the ceremony with a scripture that had been read at other family member’s weddings. It was a super sweet moment!
Right after being introduced into the reception, Emily and Deric had a little dance party with their guests to "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" by Whitney Houston! It was something I’ve never seen before. It was so much fun to see and photograph everyone truly celebrating the fact that Emily and Deric just got married!
We wrapped the day up with sunset shots and lots of dancing! Thank you so much Emily and Deric for choosing me to photograph such a special day. It was so much fun and such an honor.
