Emma and Ian, one of the sweetest couples I know, tied the knot on a beautiful summer day in early June at Irongate Equestrian Center. It was my first time at Irongate and I was so impressed! Not only is the venue so stunning, the wedding coordinator, Rachel, was a joy to work with and made everything a breeze!
Emma and Ian both got ready at the venue; I love the getting ready spaces there! Emma’s dress was so stunning and I love her boots. After Emma was ready, she gifted her mom a special necklace and then had an emotional first look with her dad. First looks with dads are one of my favorite moments to photograph on a wedding day! After the first look, Emma and Ian had a first touch; where they read vows to each other, but didn’t see each other during it. It was also emotional!
The ceremony was outside on the bridge; it was the perfect mix of shade and sun. The cross at their ceremony site was stunning and Botanica Florals really did a great job on the flowers. After the ceremony, we photographed family formals and the wedding party together. Their wedding party was so much fun!
We photographed Emma and Ian’s portraits around the venue and then headed off to the reception! The reception space was so beautiful! The way the light filtered in the windows was amazing. I also loved their charcuterie board for cocktail hour and their cake and desserts were delicious!
At sunset, Rachel took us out to the horse pasture! We had around 5 horses and a couple of donkeys surrounding us during sunset photos. It was such a wonderful experience; months later I still talk about how great it was! After sunset photos, we headed back into the reception where Emma and Ian had one last dance with their guests and then a final dance with just the two of them. I love that this is becoming a new trend for couples; it’s so special to get that last 5 minutes of your wedding with just the two of you!
We officially ended the night with a sparkler exit! Emma and Ian’s wedding was so much fun and is definitely one I’ll remember forever. I can’t wait to see the lives they make together.
