Katie and Jared’s wedding was my first one of the season and was a great way to kick it off! They tied the knot at Cedar Grove Lodging down in Logan, Ohio. I had never been before, but it’s such a beautiful location! They have so many options for ceremony sites and photos. The staff was also super nice and professional.
Katie and Jared created custom vows; I really enjoy hearing personal vows. I think it gives their guests more insight to their relationship and it’s a bit more special. After the ceremony, we raced the rain for pictures and then headed into the cabin for dinner and dances. Katie surprised her mom with a special dance and Jared and his momma danced to the Beach Boys. It was so awesome!
After dinner and dances, we headed to another cabin for cake cutting and drinks. Because of the rain, we couldn’t have a bonfire, but they always say it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day! I really enjoy photographing weddings that are true to the couple. My best advice I can give to a couple on their wedding day is to do what you really want to and have your wedding reflect who you are as a couple! Katie and Jared did just that and it was the most perfect day.
