Riley and I used to work together at The Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center and Shelter a couple years ago and last fall, I had the opportunity to do a session with him, his girlfriend, Justice, and their sweet pup, Betty. It was so much fun! So when Justice reached out to me for a maternity session, I of course said yes. What Justice didn't know is that Riley also reached out to me to help him plan a surprise proposal!
I was so honored that he trusted me enough to help him plan how he was going to propose during the session and to capture such an important moment for them. They chose Jeffrey Mansion in Bexley as their location and it was so perfect for this session! We walked around the mansion for a bit and then headed to the wooded area where Riley was going to propose.
I set Justice up for a pose where she was faced away from Riley and when she turned back around, he was down on one knee! Justice had no idea it was coming and was so shocked! She of course said yes! One of my favorite moments to capture during a proposal are the moments after they say yes. I love how big Riley's smile is and the sweet hugs they shared after.
Riley and Justice have been together for 7 years and are welcoming a sweet baby later this month! I'm so excited to see what the future holds for them!
