Last month I had the honor of photographing Shelby and Gannon’s wedding day. They got married in their backyard surrounded by their closest friends and family! It was such a fun and pretty day. I love backyard weddings!
We started the day off with getting ready photos, gifts, and a first look with Shelby and her dad. I loved her dad’s reaction! Shelby and Gannon had the cutest flower girl and ring bearer; they did such a great job walking down the aisle. During the ceremony, Shelby and Gannon had Gannon’s step dad, Andy, give a speech. It definitely made me emotional!
Ceremonies are always one of my favorite parts of the day to photograph. It’s great to see all the unique things couples add into it. I also love photographing the couple right after the ceremony as this is usually when their family comes to congratulate and love on them.
After the ceremony, we celebrated with first dances, speeches, and good food! Shelby and Gannon’s reception was super laid back and totally them. Sometimes it’s hard not to get tied up in following the newest wedding trends and they lose sight of what they truly want on their wedding day. Shelby and Gannon stuck with what they truly wanted and it was the most beautiful day!
