I had the honor of photographing Sky and Jon's wedding last July and what started as a typical photographer and client relationship, quickly turned into friends. I photographed Sky and Jon's engagement session, their wedding, and a couple boudoir shoots with Sky, so when she booked me for a family session with her and her family, I couldn't say no!
We had their session at Slate Run Metro Park in Canal Winchester. It's one of my favorite parks; there's so many different areas for a session. We started off the session in the field and then headed down to the dock by the water. I love the ones by the field! We then wrapped up the session at the covered bridge. The photos taken on the bridge are my favorite and we finally got Westin to smile! We also had a mini senior session for Johnny who is a senior this year.
I love that these photos show the Vance and Caruso family as they are. They laughed and had fun and did a lot of bribing for Westin to smile, but that's what family sessions should be; photographing your unique family as you are, in this moment! It's always a privilege to photograph someone's family and I'm so glad that Sky and Jon keep coming back. Thank you to The Vance and Caruso family for choosing me to photograph your beautiful family.
