One of my favorite venues here in Lancaster is Little Brook Meadows. I have a love for barn weddings and Little Brook Meadows has one of the prettiest barns! It's also massive and can hold a lot of guests if a bigger wedding is your thing. One of my favorite things about this venue is that there is so many options for a ceremony site and they have a beautiful pond that is perfect for sunset photos!
Little Brook Meadows offers one package that is all inclusive. They provide an event coordinator, parking attendants, and the set-up/tear down of the tables and chairs. They also have 3 stalls full of props/decorations for couples to use at no extra charge. There are also at least 10 different locations for ceremonies.
Therese, the owner, opened a wedding venue because 12 years ago her daughter and son in law were engaged and looking for a venue. Therese and her husband had just purchased the property and her daughter asked them if they could get married in the barn. At first Therese said, "No way! Who gets married in a barn?" But they ended up fixing up the barn for their wedding and have hosted weddings ever since then. They spent a year renovating the barn to include handicap restrooms, patios, heated floors, and the pond and red barn for a ceremony back drop!
When I asked Therese what her favorite part of her job was she said, "It's such a blessing to be able to share the day with the couple and their friends and family." Therese recommends that couples book their venue at soon as they have a date in mind, but at least 9-15 months out.
When I asked Therese what she wished couples knew about her venue she said, "With our inclusive package couples are getting more than they realize they need. We can accommodate up to 300 guests, couples can have any licensed caterer provide their dinner and they can provide their own alcohol. There is a large house on the property that will accommodate 20 overnight guests which is great for wedding parties to stay in, get ready in and rehearsal dinner can be held in the house seating up to 50 guests."
