Bri and Jon’s engagement session was at Chestnut Ridge Metro Park in Carroll, Ohio. We had originally planned to go to a park in Gahanna, but had changed plans the night before. I’m so glad we did! There was the perfect amount of snow at Chestnut Ridge and it was a beautiful morning for photos.
Bri and Jon are such a sweet couple and are such naturals in front of the camera! It was so much fun walking around the park and talking about their wedding this May. Chestnut Ridge is one of my favorite parks to photograph because it has so much variety. My favorite photos from Bri and Jon’s session are the ones by the water.
I also love the last couple that we took; the ones in the field. I almost didn’t place them there! It was at the end of our session and we were walking back to the parking lot when I saw the field and asked if they wanted to hop in it real quick! I really like how the blue sky was peeking in through the trees.
I know a lot of couples and even photographers don’t really like to have sessions in the Winter. Everything is dead and usually there is no color, but I think Bri and Jon’s session turned out perfectly! It’s proof that Winter can be pretty.
I had such a great time with Bri and Jon! I’m so excited for their wedding in May at Little Brook Meadows here in Lancaster.
